It Is Not Enough To Dream

I'm always teased by my classmates. Some of them call me Einstein or nerd, but yesterday, I was proud of it. Yesterday, I got 3 gold medals, one for General Excellence, one for our Math Proficiency Contest, and another one for the Computer Wizards Quest. I also have 2 silver medals, each for the Young Environmentalist Award and the Reading Comprehension Contest. Then my last medal is for being "Best Spook" of our class. So, all in all, I have 6 medals. Last year, I only got the Silver Medal for General Academic Excellence and Gold in Math Proficiency. When I was in Prep, I only thought of becoming the Gold Medalist. But as some other people say, it is not enough to dream. You have to work hard to achieve it.

The Search for The Young Environmentalist

I am the Grade 2-Knowledge representative to our school's Search for Young Environmentalist 2008. In the pictures you will see that I am wearing a military costume. That is because is my speech last Sept. 22, I spoke about being Mother Earth's environmental police. The screen behind me is the powepoint presentation that mommy and I prepared. As of this moment, I am Rank # 2 out of the 6 Grade 2 contestants. The winner will be announced in February next year after the counting of all tetrapak carton votes. 50% of the score will come from the empty tetra pak cartons that we collect in school. May tetrapak ka ba? Akin na lang!

Silver Medalist Po Ako!

Last night, Teacher Aven called and told my mommy that I am the silver medalist of Grade 1 this school year. I am very happy because there are more than 200 Grade 1 pupils in Lourdes School of Mandaluyong. Mommy and Mama were also very happy. I told my Daddy about the good news and he was also very happy. He will buy a handycam for me as a gift because that's his promise. I am so excited and we will be rehearsing on March 31 but the Recognition Day is April 2. I will also receive my Gold Medal for the Math Quiz Bee. Yahoo!
